Wouldn't say as bad as Natural Reader's free voices (which are just the Google voices btw), but they still don't sound very fun. Which might be a downside for some people. They take multiple steps to open with can be a little annoying, as you have to upload the PDF file into its software. I would say the 'Premium' and 'Plus' ones are okay, but you have a limit to how long you can listen with them. Its freemium, which means you don't have to pay anything to use it, but to access all the functionality you do need to pay. The speed is a lot, which gives you options, in case you want to listen to something super-quickly. Has a desktop app so you can listen to stuff on it, so you're not limited to using Chrome to listen to stuff. (Mobile app was buggy at times, although I would still prefer it over Edge's mobile app) The Mobile app is not bad, the browser extension and the app work well together for sending documents back and forth. Works with Chrome so if you're like most people who use Google Chrome, you don't have to switch browsers for reading something. Natural Reader: This is a Chrome extension which can read off any web page or document for you! Side note: you don't have to switch to Edge as your primary browser, I just open the files, documents, and emails I want to read on it and use Google Chrome primarily. Mobile version is not that good, and it doesn't even open pdfs in it, unless you open them in something like Google Docs. Its speed is not that much and even the fastest one can be a little slow at times. Even if you don't, it's just two clicks to select 'Open with > Edge' which is better than some of the others mentioned. Opens pdfs seamlessly if you have Edge set as your primary browser for opening pdfs.

I think I need to emphasise this the voices are AMAZING. The voices are one of the most natural voices I've ever heard from a TTS. Microsoft Edge (the browser ****) : Don't roll your eyes yet! I know I'm the first person in the history of ever to recommend Edge, but it has an amazing text to speech functionality. I bolded words so you can skim through it. I've tried a few and these are the ones I liked the best! HIGHLY recommended for those who haven't used one yet. It helps me understand the content more thoroughly, especially if I'm reading alongside it speaking! But more importantly it makes those super long boring readings more bearable. Text to speech is a GREAT productivity tool, especially for people with ADHD.
